Waycross, Georgia
A congregation of faith, history, and service — worshiping in a sanctuary that has stood at the heart of this community for generations.
Welcome
Whether you were baptized in this sanctuary or are visiting Waycross for the first time, you are welcome here. St. John's Missionary Baptist Church is a family of believers committed to worship, discipleship, and the well-being of our neighborhood.
Come as you are. Sit anywhere. Sing with us, pray with us, and stay afterward for fellowship — we would be glad to know your name.
"How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts." — Psalm 84:1

Our Pastor

"St. John has never been only a building. It is the prayers of the mothers who came before us, the songs of the choir, the meals shared in the fellowship hall, and the hands we extend to Waycross. I invite you to worship with us."
Pastor Gerald Robinson, Pastor
Send us the pastor's full message and we'll place it here.

Historic Preservation
Our sanctuary is among the enduring African American church buildings of Ware County — a brick landmark that has sheltered worship, education, and organizing for well over a century.
Time has taken its toll on the roof, masonry, windows, and foundation. The St. John Preservation Project is documenting the building's history and raising the funds needed to keep its doors open for the next generation.
